"Giovinazzo, Italy" Watercolor, 22"x 16". Sold Giclee prints available. In Italy, everywhere you go, everywhere you look, there is a scene begging to be painted! "Afternoon Rest" Giovinazzo, Italy watercolor, 12"x 16", Sold. Giclee prints available. I lived in this little fishing village on the shores of the Adriatic Sea, for several months, and never got tired of wandering the streets and "lungo mare" along the sea, day or night!

"Mending the Nets" Giovinazzo, Italy watercolor, 12"x 16", Sold. Giclee prints available. The fishing was done mostly in the evening and night, with the "catch" coming in in time for the morning market, but then during the day, the nets and boats had to be prepared for another night of fishing!

"Una Ragazza alla Fontana" watercolor, 22"x 18", Sold. giclee prints available. I came upon this picturesque fountain, in an "off the beaten path" corner of Venice. A monument of a bygone era, when trips to the fountain were a daily necessity of life. The young woman was not there of course, but my artist's mind had no trouble imagining her being there!

"Venice Afternoon" oil on linen, 20"x 16", Sold. Giclee prints available. As I have said, everywhere a person looks in Italy, there is a painting waiting to be painted. For good reason, Venice has been an artist magnet for centuries, with some of the most famous artists of all time having been drawn to its' unique character and beauty.
